    About the speakers

    Jae Fassam

    CMS | Partner

    Jae joined CMS in 2020 as a Partner in the CMS Pensions team. He is experienced in advising trustee, corporate and public sector clients on all aspects of pensions law and has experience in helping clients through a number of high-profile matters and regulatory investigations. Jae also works on complex funding and technical projects and manages multi-discipline teams to deliver the best outcomes for clients. A specialist in investment and regular speaker on ESG and non-financial factors, Jae helps clients navigate the developing investment regime. He is working with a number of clients on transfers into master trusts and related projects.

    Katie Millard

    CMS | Senior Associate

    Katie is Senior Associate in the CMS Pensions team. She advises employers, trustees and providers on all general pension issues and pension litigation matters, as well as on the pension aspects of corporate transactions. Katie is experienced in advising trustees of DC schemes on transfers to Master Trusts and also Master Trust providers in respect of authorisation, compliance and other matters.

    Nick Frankland

    Punter Southall Aspire | Principal

    Nick has worked in the pensions industry since graduating from Edinburgh University in 1985, and as such has gathered considerable knowledge and expertise in the employee benefit field, particularly in relation to legislative developments which have moved at great pace over the last few years. Nick has significant experience of a variety of different pensions environments encompassing provider, industry, and consultancy work, before joining Punter Southall in January 2007. Nick heads up the Punter Southall Aspire team in Scotland, working alongside colleagues from other specialist areas of Punter Southall and as such has extensive experience of both the occupational and contract based pension environments. Nick has a degree in Mathematics, is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, and holds the Diploma in Financial Planning.

    Kevin Clark

    Punter Southall Governance Services | Director of Business Development and Client Director

    Kevin Clark is responsible for managing new client relationships at PSGS and holds several professional pension trustee appointments. His experience includes developing value for money pension investment strategies and effective governance for defined contribution trustees. He has acted as a professional trustee, chair and scheme secretary for over 25 years.

    Kevin achieved the Pension Management Institute's 'Accreditation for Professional Trustees' (APTitude) in January 2021.
