Elizabeth is a Principal and Managing Director of the Firm and has 22 years’ experience. She graduated from University College London in 1984, with a degree in Mathematics and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1988. Prior to joining Punter Southall as a Partner, in July 1996, she had 11 years’ experience of pensions consultancy with a large firm of actuarial consultants and had been a Partner and subsequently a Principal of that firm since 1990.
During her career she has had various management responsibilities including the recruitment and training of actuarial students, serving on marketing, business development, technical and strategy committees and leading teams of actuaries, trainees and support staff providing actuarial and consultancy advice to a wide range of clients.
She served six years on the Committee of the Staple Inn Actuarial Society, which organises technical and social events for young actuaries and publishes “The Actuary” magazine for the Profession. She was a member of the Institute of Actuaries’ Working Party looking at the future of the Actuarial Profession. She is a regular speaker at training seminars and conferences and was the only actuary to speak at the 2000 Association of Pension Lawyers conference on the topic of ‘conflicts of interest’. She has also chaired an Institute of Actuaries Working Party on the review of the Minimum Funding Requirement.
Elizabeth is also a trained mediator.
Elizabeth advises a wide range of both Employer and Trustee clients.
