David Cule

Punter Southall Principal David Cule David Cule has a degree in pure mathematics and is closely involved in the development of the Company’s technical systems and innovative research. He has a long career in the actuarial profession always involved with pensions consultancy. Since establishing our Guildford office in 1993 he has overseen the growth of this from under 10 to over 80 people. David has worked with several of the firms largest clients helping develop new products and services in response to their needs and demands. He has also been closely involved in the development of the Company’s asset- liability modelling systems.

David is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and a former tutor and examiner for the Institute’s professional examinations. David provides significant input to the actuarial profession and is a co-author of a highly commended Institute paper on the trend away from traditional asset valuation techniques and various methods of taking assets into the balance sheet at their market value. He is a regular speaker at training seminars and conferences. He has also been personally involved with the Government on many of the recent pension reviews. He is also a recognized expert in FRS17 and international accounting standards for pensions, having spoken several times on these issues.
