Alison Bostock

Punter Southall Principal Alison BostockAlison graduated from Christ’s College, Cambridge, in 1990, with a degree in Mathematics and Management Studies. She trained with a medium-sized firm of consulting actuaries concentrating solely on pension scheme clients. Alison qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in 1994, then joined Punter Southall & Co in August 1995, being promoted to Principal in October 1997.

She holds a number of Scheme Actuary appointments and also has experience of expert actuarial evidence work and the valuation of life interests and reversions, as well as a number of special projects for companies and trustees including scheme closures and re-design of benefits.

Externally, Alison has served on the Legislation Committee of the Society of Pensions Consultants (SPC). She has also been a marker of actuarial trainees’ assignments.

Within Punter Southall, Alison is currently head of our London office. She is also responsible for our study support for those preparing for professional exams. She chairs our Technical Sub Committee covering Defined Contribution pension arrangements and is a regular speaker at our client seminars on a wide range of technical issues.
