Punter Southall and Burges Salmon to hold South West and Wales pensions conference with Tony Hobman and David Willetts

22 January 2007, Punter Southall Group, which provides a complete range of employee benefit and investment-related services for companies, pension schemes trustees and individuals, is due to hold its first South West and Wales Pensions Conference in conjunction with Burges Salmon, one of the UK’s leading law firms, on Monday 12 February 2007.

Entitled ‘Balancing corporate pensions and corporate strategy’, the conference will take place at Leigh Court, Abbots Leigh, Bristol.

Aimed principally at trustees, employers and those involved in pension scheme management, the conference will consider the latest legal issues affecting corporate pensions and corporate strategy before going on to speculate about new opportunities for adding shareholder value through pension scheme management.

The conference starts at 9.15am with keynote speaker Tony Hobman*, Chief Executive of The Pensions Regulator, addressing the conference at 12.20pm and a closing buffet being served around 1.15pm. Other speakers include David Willetts MP and Senior Advisor to Punter Southall Group, Richard Knight, Partner at Burges Salmon, as well as Richard Jones, Glyn Jones and Richard O’Callaghan, Principals at Punter Southall Group.
