David Willets to address Southern Pensions Conference 2005
01 November 2005, The Southern Pensions conference entitled “A New Direction for Pensions”, organised by Punter Southall, Blake Lapthorn Linnell and Grant Thornton LLP, will focus on key pensions issues at a time when demands on senior executives and trustees can be pulling them in different directions.
Keynote speaker will be the Shadow Trade and Industry Secretary and Senior Policy adviser to Punter Southall, David Willets MP, who will address the conference in his role as Chairman. Other speakers from Blake Lapthorn Linnell, Grant Thornton LLP and Punter Southall will tackle a range of issues, including an update on the Regulator’s first six months and a description of how the Scheme Funding framework has significantly changed in the context of the responsibilities and legal duties of trustees and their advisers. The conference will end with a Q&A session with the panel.
The half-day conference, which will take place on the morning of Thursday 17th November 2005 at the Matthew Le Tissier Suite, Friends Provident St. Mary’s Stadium, Southampton, is FREE and a buffet lunch is provided.
