Our People

As you would expect, our senior people are not only vastly experienced consulting actuaries but many are also successful business people. This gives us a clear advantage over large multinational actuarial firms whose consultants rarely have the knowledge gained from establishing and running a business of their own.

Many of our staff sit on working parties and committees for the Institute of Actuaries, Association of Consulting Actuaries and other industry bodies. We have been very successful in recruiting high quality experienced actuaries (both qualified and part-qualified) and pensions administrators who have been attracted to us because of our reputation for innovative thinking and as a friendly place for staff and clients alike. Accredited under ‘Investors in People’, we make significant investment in staff development and training.

Punter Southall has around 320 employees including:
• 105 pensions administrators (many of whom are APMI/QPA qualified or studying for the exams); and
• 55 qualified actuaries and 57 part-qualified actuaries.

Our investment consulting practice, PSolve, employs over 55 people. We also have around 14 staff in our Boston office, 90 staff working for Punter Southall Financial Management and 25 in PSigma Investment Management.
