Flexible Benefits

Employee benefits is no longer a world of pay, bonus and pension.  Working patterns have altered, employee needs have changed and the ability of Human Resource Reward Policy to influence the success of a business is now a known and accepted fact.

Many employers are starting to feel they need to review the benefits they offer to their staff – often driven by the need to consider closing an existing final salary pension scheme or, for higher earners affected by the Lifetime Allowance, the fact that they are not able to build up further pension after 6 April 2006.

Our Flexible Benefits team can help you investigate a full range of employee benefits including childcare vouchers, bike schemes, flexible benefit programs and voluntary benefit packages.  We would work with you through a structured project in order to fully understand your situation and to be clear about where you and your staff want to get to with your reward strategy in future.  The main steps would be:

Fact Find
(Past & Current)

Investigate current pay, pension and benefit arrangements.

Understand history of your organisation so we know how you have got to the current situation.

Analyse any restrictions or apparent difficulties if change were to be made.

Fact Find
(Future)

Investigate factors affecting employer's perspective: strategy, future aquisitions, capabilities, values, ultimate aim.

Investigate factors affecting employees' perspective: demographics, competencies, values, why they work & why they work for you.

Investigate other internal & external influences including competitor practice.

Feedback &
Recommendations

Suggest approaches to 'employee deal' in Total Reward areas of pay, benefits, learning & development & work environment.

Feasability study & report on options, including a flexible approach to benefits. We would encourage you to consider all options, even if some are discounted quickly.

Discussions, aggreement & then on to implementation
