The third of our 2007/8 seminars continues the theme of reviewing how the changes brought in during 2005 and 2006 are working out in practice. The seminar is again intended for trustees, employers and pensions managers and will concentrate specifically on developments in the calculation of the PPF levy.

The PPF is expected to publish the response to its recent consultation in November 2007. The seminar will therefore provide a timely update on the PPF’s latest proposals for the levy for the 2008/9 levy year and beyond, as well as some reflections on the first 2½ years of the PPF’s operation.

The seminar will also look at ways to manage your PPF levy, including:

Putting contingent asset arrangements in place;
Making deficit reduction contributions;
Verifying (and if necessary appealing) your invoice; and
Longer term measures to reduce your PPF liability.
