The New Pensions Landscape
Seminar Two – Living with Pensions Risk
Venue: Various
Download the course booklet
The second of our 2007 seminars continues the theme of reviewing how the changes
brought in during 2005 and 2006 under the Pensions Act and Finance Acts are working out
in practice. The seminar is again intended for trustees, employers and pensions managers
and will concentrate specifically on developments in the way pension schemes can manage
risk. We will consider the key area of risk for many defined benefit schemes – investment –
and then go on to address other, wider areas of risk, with particular focus given to:
- new duration based approaches to liability valuations;
- modelling of risk premia;
- measures to de-risk the scheme; and
- risks of Regulatory intervention.
