 Overview

Investment management

As well as having the correct financial structure, it is important to have assets managed in line with your financial objectives, bearing in mind your attitude to risk.

We provide advice on how to achieve your objectives in the most tax efficient manner. Our specialist wealth management team looks at the appropriate asset allocations across a variety of asset classes and ensures that currency exposure is managed according to expenditure requirements.

Our international asset management service can provide discretionary managed global portfolios for residents outside UK. These can be Euro, Dollar or Sterling denominated and administered from the UK, Guernsey or Luxembourg.

Private offices

To ensure the continued financial success of global entrepreneurs and their families, it is vital that wealth is both structured correctly and that international considerations are taken into account. We work alongside your other professional advisors to ensure proactive and effective advice and information, communicated in a clear and timely fashion.

Relocating overseas - moving to or from the UK

Whilst, with some knowledge of UK taxation and local investment options, many people organise their financial affairs relatively easily in the UK, moving overseas either temporarily or permanently often proves more challenging.

We can help with pre-planning, including:

  • how to organise assets and investments prior to leaving or arriving in the UK, to provide for effective entry into the new country
  • considering income needs in your new location and how these can be most effectively achieved
  • looking at cross-border investment solutions to provide for payments being made and drawn in different currencies and ensuring growth is benchmarked against the relevant inflation peer group and market factors
  • tax wrapper advice appropriate to your country of residence
  • pension planning - including advice on qualifying recognised overseas pension schemes (QROPS)
  • investment planning strategies for both leaving and returning to the UK
  • international medical insurance and life assurance

    23 November 2011
On 25 October 2011, the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) published a consultation paper on its draft advice to the European Commission (EC) to help the EC’s review of the Institutions for Occupational Retirement Provision (IORP) directive.
